Condolences

Condolence From: Doreen (Hollett) Canning
Condolence: Donna, Debbie, Diane, Darlene and Families: The ‘first’ special occasions after the passing of a loved one stir your hearts to reflect upon the physical absense of Aunt Vera. I want to assure you today that “She is absent from the body but present with the Lord” and her precious Uncle Ray and others. Time is fleeting but your family has a lifetime of precious memories of her love, laughter and her goodness that she lived out among us. I remember how beautifully she showed many acts of kindness to her sister-in-law, Aunt Bessie Ludlow, who lived at Golden Years. As a family we all have been recipients of those qualities that we thank God for as we continue our personal journeys through life. May you be comforted by God’s boundless Love and daily Grace for each of you today and into the future. Love and Blessings from Major Doreen (Hollett) and Harvey Canning, Cambridge, Ontario

Condolence From: Ina Baker
Condolence: Sincere condolences to all of you. One of the many memories I have of Vera was seeing her popping in at the hospital, visiting this one and that one, and dropping off baked muffins or cookies. I was a visitor then as my husband was hospitalized there for a long time. Always on the go and always full of energy. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Condolence: Sorry to hear of your mom's passing. From growing up on the 'heights' I always admired your mom's exercise stamina and routine. I looked up to her for her drive and determination to keep moving no matter what the weather was like. My dearest sympathies.

Condolence From: Shirley Osmond
Condolence: To the Ludlow Family - Vera was a lifelong friend to the Wheeler family, especially to my parents Fred and Maisie Wheeler. Vera and her sister Joan (Crocker) would visit my parents regularly and when Dad passed, they would visit Mom. Every Saturday afternoon like clockwork, Joan would bring Mom her favorite homemade soup and Vera would bring homemade sugarless raisin buns - Mom looked forward to their visits because they had lots of memories to share - Mom's family was from Silverdale and Vera's from Harry's Harbour.

In love and sympathy,
Shirley Osmond (nee Wheeler)

Condolence: To Donna, Diane, Debbie, Darlene & Families:
Our sincere condolences on the passing of your mother.
I have known Vera for 60 years when her brother Les and I stayed overnight with them in the Fall of 1957. When I was stationed at King's Point I would stay with her mother, Aunt Ida, whenever I went to Harry's Harbour. It was truly 'a home away from home.'
Since moving to Grand Falls Windsor I visited their home
quite frequently when Ray was sick.
I am very sorry that I am unable to participate in her funeral service today, but please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you today.
God Bless.

Condolence: Donna, Debbie, Diane & Darlene

So sorry to hear of your mom's passing I know you have lots of good memories to help you in the days ahead. She is now at rest and her battle is over. I too remember the jar of fruit on her counter when I would visit with Glenda. I am sorry to say I cannot make the funeral today. I only learned of her passing last night or I would have visited the funeral home.
