JAMES R. PENNEY
1929 – 2017

It is with great sadness that the family of the late James Randolph Penney announce his passing at the Green Bay Health Care Center in Springdale on February 11, 2017 at the age of 88. James Penney was a member of the Salvation Army. He retired from mining. He was predeceased by his wife Hazel Penney; great granddaughter Alanna Oxford and brother Robert Penney. Left with fond and loving memories is his sons-Alwen Oxford (Joyce) of Springdale; Everett (Evelyn) of Thompson, MB, Donald (Kay) of Springdale, Baxter (Diane) of Springdale; daughters-Wavey (Clyde Oxford) of Springdale, Bessie (Otto Pelley) of Pine River, MB,and Bonnie (Clyde Penney) of Kings Cove. Also leaving to mourn are 18 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren; brothers-Neil Penney and Walter Penney; sisters-Vivian Oxford, Bernice Andrews and Hazel Weir as well as many other nieces, nephews and friends. Majors Collin & Jacqueline Abbott will conduct the funeral service from the Salvation Army Citadel in Springdale on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at 2:00 pm. Interment will be at the Salvation Army Cemetery. Pallbearers are grandchildren-Rob, Rocky, Rodney, Byron, Dale and Christopher. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.
