FLOYD OTTO VERGE
1961 - 2018
It is with deep sadness that the family of the late Floyd Otto Verge announce his passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Center on April 4, 2018 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife, Maria (Morris), daughter, Brittany (Nicolas) and son, Ian. Also leaving to mourn are his parents, Otto and Lulu Verge, brother, Dennis (Cindy), sister, Lorraine (Phil), all members of the Morris family and a large circle of friends and relatives.
Anyone who knew Floyd automatically recognized what a multi-talented man he was. First and foremost, he was a devoted husband and father who worshiped his family and took enormous pride from his children's accomplishments. Besides being the most hardworking and dedicated employee to whatever company he worked for, he was a kind and generous person who was always willing to lend a helping hand. Floyd was able to do anything he put his mind to. His amazing artistic and woodworking ability was second to none. Floyd loved to travel and was always planning his and Maria's next adventure. He had such a friendly and fun-loving personality that always made him a pleasure to be around. Floyd Otto Verge will be forever missed by his family and many friends.
Visitation will take place on Friday, April 6, 2018 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Central Funeral Homes Chapel. A memorial service will also be held for immediate family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Daffodil Place. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Jim Maidment of Central Funeral Homes.
