GENERAL MANAGER


Central Funeral Homes is in search of a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead the team.

The General Manager positions requires a high level of compassion and is a caring individual who enjoys helping others.  We are looking for a team player who leads by example and challenges the team to provide the best service to the families we support. This position requires leadership capabilities and a good set of funeral director experiences and skills.


Your day to day will consist of leading our group of funeral professionals and overseeing operations of our 3 locations. You’ll meet with families to arrange funeral services, attend services and act in the capacity of Funeral Director when required. You have an entrepreneurial spirit and actively monitor the financial performance of each location and your need to have extensive knowledge of the funeral services offered to our families and communities we serve


REQUIREMENTS


You have held a Funeral Directors License for a minimum of 5 years


Have leadership experience and experience managing a team


Have an exceptional ability too work with and develop team members; including coaching, constructive feedback and reviews.


Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.


Build, work in and develop a cohesive team both within each location and together companywide.


Possess an excellent work ethic, ensuring goals and deadlines are met and standards are kept high.


You must also be able to lift at least 50lbs and stand for long periods of time.

LICENSED FUNERAL DIRECTOR/EMBALMER


Central Funeral Homes is looking for a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer to join our Grand Falls-Windsor team! We are a dedicated, closely-knit team that share a mutual respect and compassion for the families we serve. 


As a Funeral Director and Embalmer, you'll play a crucial role in helping families during their time of loss. You'll be responsible for arranging and coordinating all aspects of funeral services, including meeting with grieving families to discuss their wishes, preparing the deceased for burial, aquamation, or cremation, and managing the logistics of the funeral service.


You'll also need to have strong communication and organizational skills, as you'll be working closely with families, clergy, and other professionals to ensure that all arrangements are carried out smoothly and respectfully.


Additionally, as an embalmer, you'll be trained in the art and science of preparing the deceased for burial or viewing including embalming, cosmetics, dressing and casketing.
