ROY HORWOOD WILLIAMS
1931 – 2016

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Roy H. Williams announce his passing at the Green Bay Health Care Center in Springdale on January 6, 2016 at the age of 84. Roy retired from doing maintenance at the Valley Vista Seniors Home in 1996. He was predeceased by his son James; mother Lydia; father Finley and his sister Margaret. Left with fond and loving memories is his wife Elsie; daughters-Donna (Steve) of Peterborough, ON and Karen (Hedley) of Charleston, NL. Also leaving to mourn are his brother Fred (Louise) of Deer Lake; grandson Steven of Conception Bay South and granddaughter Rebecca (Matt) of St. John’s, NL. Majors Colin & Jacqueline Abbott will conduct the funeral service from Central Funeral Homes in Springdale on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 11:00 am. Interment will be at the Salvation Army Cemetery in Springdale. Pallbearers are Francis Young, Ronald Saunders, Jack Dalley, Barry Oxford, Steve Beauchomp and Hedley Adams. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.
