A beautiful angel has just received her wings

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ruby Gilbert announce her passing at the Carmelite Palliative Care Unit in Grand Falls-Windsor on December 28, 2015 at the age of 87. Ruby was a member of the UCW. She is predeceased by husband Ed in 1993 and sons-in-law Keith in 2001 and Gary in 2015. Ruby leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her special friend; Lou Stuckless, daughters; Edna, Dianne (Michael) and Barbara (Les) of Grand Falls-Windsor, Geraldine of Middle Sackville, NS, and Marie of Corner Brook. Also leaving to mourn are sisters; Hettie, Doris, and Frances, brother; Clayton and 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and Lou’s daughters Wanda & Michelle. Ruby was the heart of her family, and will be dearly missed by all. Thank you to the staff of Central Newfoundland Regional Health Care Centre and the Carmelite Palliative Care Unit for their care and compassion during her illness. Reverend Kimberley Waite will conduct the funeral service at the Memorial United Church on December 31, 2015. Interment will be at the United Cemetery. Pallbearers are Les Percy, Michael Farr, Scott Percy, Adam Saulnier, Edward Cashin, and Lou Horwood. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Jim Maidment of Central Funeral Homes.
