It is with great sadness that the family of the late Fred W. Rowsell announce his passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Healthcare Centre in Grand Falls-Windsor on October 16, 2016 at the age of 75. Fred was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 12 and a life member of the Newfoundland and Labrador Surveyors Association. Fred retired from Abitibi Price Ltd. Fred is predeceased by his father and mother, Wesley and Winnie (nee Keats) Rowsell, and brother, Lloyd Rowsell of British Colombia. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife, Gertrude (nee Delaney) Rowsell; sons, Rick (Ricky) Rowsell (Kim) of Torbay, NL and Scott (Scotty) Rowsell of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL; daughter, Marlene (Squirt) Bishop (Stephen) of Gander, NL. Also leaving to mourn his grandchildren, Gracie and Emma Bishop; brothers, Barry Rowsell, Bruce (Linda) Rowsell, and Eric (Rachael) Rowsell; sisters, Barb (Carl) Holloway and Doreen Rowsell; a large number of nieces and nephews and a large circle of family and friends. The funeral mass will take place at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Friday, October 21, 2016. Interment will be at a later date. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jim Maidment of Central Funeral Homes.
