JONATHAN RICHARD ROY MACLEAN
1927 – 2016
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Roy MacLean announce his passing at the Valley Vista Seniors Home in Springdale on October 23, 2016 at the age of 89. Roy was a member of the Springdale Pentecostal Church. He retired from Dept. of Forestry & Wildlife in 1982 after 35 years of service. Roy was predeceased by his parents, Garland & Peal MacLean and his brothers Jackson and George. Left with fond and loving memories is his wife Josie (nee Foote); and his daughters-Joan Rowsell (Lorne) of Springdale, Dianne Osmond (Max) of St. Patrick’s and Gaye Rice of Springdale. Also leaving to mourn are grandson Richard Rowsell (Joanne), granddaughter Rebecca Rice; great grandchildren-Morgan, Lauren and Emma Rowsell; sisters-Elsie Marshall and Dorothy Clarke; brother-in-law Eric (Millie) Foote. Pastor Lindsey Foster will conduct the funeral service from the Pentecostal Church in Springdale on Tuesday, October 25th at 2:30 pm. Interment will be at the Pentecostal Cemetery. Pallbearers are Richard Rowsell, Donald Clarke, Gary Clarke, Roland Clarke, Martin George and Austin Winsor. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.
