Blanche Brown
September 8th, 1931 - February 16th, 2017
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Blanche Brown announce her passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Healthcare Centre in Grand Falls-Windsor on February 16th, 2017 at the age of 85. Blanche retired from Woolworth’s Limited. She was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Gertrude (nee Quinton) Cross, sister Violet (Hobbs) and husband Howard Brown. Blanche leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughter Kathleen Dyke (Roger) of Wabush, NL. Also leaving to mourn are sister Mary Hoyte (Jack), brothers Donald Cross (Stella), Howard Cross, sister in law Eileen Froude, grandchildren Michelle Lee (Brian), John Dyke (Melanie), great grandchildren Jacob, Meaghan, Carson, and Grady, and special friend Gloria White. Reverend Randy Lockyer will conduct the funeral service at Central Funeral Homes Chapel on Tuesday, February 21st, 2017 at 2:00 PM. Interment will be at the Interfaith Cemetery. Pallbearers are Michelle Lee, John Dyke, Cyril Dyke, Jordon Froude, Clayton Quinton, and Cliff Clinton. Flowers are accepted or donation may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jim Maidment of Central Funeral Homes.
